We have incredible news to share with the Keyang Tipin Care for Girls Foundation community! Our Founder and CEO, Josephine (Josie) Chenangat Murgor, has been officially named to Emory University’s prestigious 40 Under Forty list.

Each year, Emory University’s 40 Under Forty program celebrates a select group of remarkable young alumni who exemplify excellence, service, and leadership by leading change in innovative ways. Out of hundreds of nominations, this year’s honorees include trailblazing advocates, health care leaders, and public servants advancing public health and creating vital opportunities for underserved communities both locally and globally.

Rooted in Public Health Excellence

Josie’s selection is a profound honor—not only for her, but for our entire organization.

What makes this distinction even more special is the deep, enduring connection between Emory University and the leadership driving Keyang Tipin Care for Girls Foundation. All members of our Executive Committee, as well as a member of our Board, are proud alumni of Emory University’s Rollins School of Public Health.

From developing evidence-based community education programs to advancing health equity, our team's shared foundation at Emory continues to shape how we tackle gender-based violence (GBV), end female genital mutilation/cutting (FGM/C), and champion menstrual health and girls' rights in Kenya.

Keyang Tipin Care for Girls Foundation Founder and CEO Josie Murgor joined students from Karas Mixed School for an impactful day of learning and growth during our School Education Program.

Amplifying Our Mission

Being recognized on Emory’s 40 Under 40 platform brings invaluable visibility to the Keyang Tipin Care for Girls Foundation. This milestone shines a spotlight on the urgent issues young girls face—including lack of bodily autonomy, barriers to education, and inadequate healthcare.

As this honor brings new attention to our grassroots work, it opens vital doors for increased support, global partnerships, and resources needed to expand our reach. Together, we are building a safer, more equitable world where girls can learn, grow, and thrive.

Please join us in congratulating Josie on this well-deserved achievement!
